>>And you already made money on them. Good trading, but was it worth the aggrevation?<<
1) I definitely made more on those dink trades than I made here at work. If I made what I made on those trades (which aren't geat trades by any means), I could have a very comfortable life and retire soon just on trading.
But, the main reason I did it was for SAFETY. How many times, have we gone up BIG, and gone down shortly after. I don't have enough fingers on my hands to count them. I thought today was overdone and we'd be going back to 35.5. But, now maybe things are different.
Also, I guess if one starts to trade more and more, it gets easier and easier to make the quick decisions, etc. I haven't worked very much at trading, so I'm not use to it. I think I need to at least be decent at it, because when the next 25% drop comes our way, I'd like to save some of it by protective, smart trading.
But, like you said, (and I've said previously many times) when COMS is on a positive uptrend, it shouldn't be traded unless you're sure not to goof up potential future profit. COMS "has turned the corner", and hopefully it won't be such a volatile stock in the future.
Look at today, high of the day was $37. Ending price $36 1/16. We gotta see on Monday, what the rest of the story is. Will it stick??? I think so, but let's see.
>>Also, re: coms new product line... see what I mean about COMS exploding. Palm computing, netowrk storage now, WAN, LAN, Cable, Analog, xDSL.. lot of areas..<<
I forget, what brings this on. oh, yeah, I mentined the network storage applications. Yeah, COMS is an "unreal" company to me (as I need to tell you right?:)). There will be so many new applications that we can't even think about coming out in the future. But, Eric B. really adds value because he coordinates all the products so as to be end-to-end solutions for one thing. Having end-to-end solutions separates COMS from all the rest except CSCO, the only other solid end-to-end provider.
You notice that the TCI announcement said that COMS is the only one that an set up Cable Companies, end-to-end. That means Cable Modems (as Joe Public thinks), but also the Cable companies set up equipment. Nobody else can do this. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THIS ISN'T COMMON KNOWLEDGE. COMS share price should be over $50 just knowing this alone. COMS is a gold mine. The only way it can lose, is if it trips over its own feet.
