Bob's buy recommendation under S & P 1100 was very useful.
Firstly, it kept investors totally bullish despite the
emotional roller coaster ride on foreign news. Second, it
provided many chances to increase equity exposure and upgrade
holdings during the correction. Third, it placed everything
into perspective. Clearly this major intemediate correction
bottom successfully tested October 8 at Dow 7500 has set the
stage for enormous gains into 1999. You were free to add to
your holdings for several weeks at bargain basement prices.
If you did so, and moved money in during periods of weakness,
you are sitting pretty today. Most important was avoiding the
temptation to panic out on record volume at the bottom. Up we go!
