Gregg -

Please go easy on the Swedes and the Finns. They have already conceded on this thread the critical importance of NOK.A nad Ericy to their respective countries and their economies. In fact in the case of Finland wasn't NOK.A something like 25% of either exports or even GDP?

Now there they were going ahead and joining the EU and thinking that they are now an integral part of an economy that is even bigger than the US economy and the lives of their countries can move forward into broad sunlight uplands and thejy could carry on with their socialist heaven.

THEN they had to wake up!!! Life in the EU ain't so easy for them not that it would have been very much different if they had remained independent and free countries. But they had great expectations and now they have to cling and grasp at straws.

We can expect nothing less than every ounce of influence that their governments can deploy to defend the interests of ERICY and NOK.A at whatever cost. These companies are today the life blood of their economies. Don't be surprised by every form of propoganda, subtefuge, political preasure, industrial preasure and who knows what else. They are desperate and will top at nothing to get their way. It is their meal ticket.

Without the benefit of these two companies continuing to maintain the same profit levels that they have become used to recently their governments are going to have to explain to their voters why their living standards are suffering especially after having given up their independence to join the EU financial Valhalla. They may even hear voters mention the unnacceptable call to get out of the EU. Any EU politician who hears a serious call like that can be expected to use real force on their own populations. You can expect 'Get Out' or 'Quit' movements to be quashed with ruthless force.

Regards,

L
