Ellen,
leave your objectivity at the door when entering.
Objectivity about what? The Company or the people posting on the thread?
Imagine you were walking down the road and came upon a group of people arguing fiercely around a small brown lump. Some say its a turd, some say it's a gem. You examine the lump. It is soft, brown, and smells nasty. What would be your "objective" decision? You cannot separate the rectitude of arguments - or arguers - from the qualities of the subject of the argument. If you say it's a gem and Janice says it's a turd, one of you is wrong. The best way to find out is not to listen to the argument, but to sniff the object. I did, and it smells to me like Janice is right. I won't bother rendering judgement on the subject of style, though I am professionally qualified to do so. It isn't relevant.
Do you have any idea how many securities can be bought for under a dollar a share? I know of at least one that is fully reporting, has no debt, has shown increasing earnings for over 8 consecutive quarters, and has a CEO that answers questions on the SI thread. I won't tell you what it is, because I don't hype. But I would ask you, why should I buy this stock when I can buy that one? Is there even one good reason?
There are hypsters who can make even a pretty stinky turd sound like something pretty close to a gem. They aren't on this thread, though.
Fortunately.
