Bear Trap? The Fed is flooding the system with money in a desperate attempt to counteract the result of years of letting the financial asset boom continue unchecked. (Irresponsibly I might add) Is it a bear trap? I'm not sure. On the fundamentals I say yes. Very high prices were predicated on rapid profit growth for the next few years. Even "suspect" operating earnings are now declining. But this Fed has already shown that it has no respect for the dollar at all. It's going to take foreigners to finally say enough is enough!
