I posted the article, only to reiterate that ATM has a definite role in providing QOS and will keep growing for foreseeable future. This will bridge the deficiencies of IP and FR services by doing just that. ATM and Remote ACCESS will explode in 1999. Remote access will explode because there will be explosive demand to get online, as CHEAPER PC's and PC like devices start rolling, they will create more demand for the Remote access. There is also talk among analysts and research firms about GIVING AWAY SUB $500 PC's and Internet appliances in exchange for a 12-24 month ISP contracts. (ANALOGY to MOBILE PHONES). Even ASIA will show explosive growth with these cheap PC's. Best way to play this revolution is buying ASND and CSCO. ASND is a pure play in both segments(ISP,CARRIERS with RA, FR and ATM ). CSCO will do well with a question mark on spending by the big enterprise customers. CSCO will probably double from here. ASND can do much better than double only because of pure play and its size.
