Fred--I agree with just about everything you have said.
I am willing however to trade BB stocks on the net. I have the same criteria for a BB stock that I have for any other company. I want to be able to do extensive and accurate DD on them.
Reading the company PR releases and visiting the web site is not good DD. I want financial reports, open reports on who owns what and what is their position with the company, what is their products, prospects, and not the slightest hint of a hype or a lie in anything.
This is what I look for in any other stock and I want it from a BB stock too. It also means I never seem to find one to invest in. <<it seems if you post Public a legitimate question about a company or its' product(s), you get 2-3 people answering you telling you how stupid you are for asking such ridiculous questions (or words to that effect). That makes you never want to post again.>> I find it sad that people won't share knowledge with others. One only has to look at the bunch of scum the SEC just went after, some honest open communication between knowledgeable investors and some people well down on the learning curve could have reduced the damage people took. It wasn't the market sharp investors who got reamed there.
All the Best
