I have abandoned Dell for the time being and returned to XCIT, my favorite of the past few months. I feel much more comfortable with the volume on XCIT, which normally runs around 4 mill a day.

Rick,

I agree that it is advisable to skip around to new stocks (or return to old favorites) occasionally. Otherwise, one gets stale.

Today, I screwed up on SEEK (lost trying to play the dead cat bounce) and then found success shorting my dreaded AMZN. (I lost way too much shorting AMZN long term earlier this year...one reason I'm now into day trading). Short term day trades are way, way too difficult to accomplish through Fidelity, but somehow I lucked out.

Anyway, as you noted, it is nice to have a stock that is moving so much that you can make a quick 1/2 to 1 point. The problem comes when that move is against you.

Best,
Gary Korn
