when you have a clue the difference between spiritual matters and things of the world, come back and talk. you throw out a few media types and claim all the Christians follow them, what makes you think I would follow Rush Limbaugh, or Laura whoever, or Pat Robertson? I feel sorry for you(or anyone) who holds up these men and women thinking that these are who Christians "march too" as you put it.
I claim the name of Jesus the Christ as my savior, not Rush, or Pat or Laura.
When I am sick, do I go to a doctor? YES but not Laura S. Do I drive a car? YES, but Rush did not teach me. Have a flown in a plane? YES, but Pat Robertson was not flying it.(Nor did I) Do I eat food grown and harvested by others? Sure I do, but read (John 4:10) Have a Bible handy? Did I father children, sure have(and by the way if you choose to talk about them as useless, then YOU are worthless) but they have not guaranteed my salvation, as Jesus has.
Oh yes I take advantage of the gifts God has given man. AND.....I also take advantage (as an adopted son) of the salvation offered only through Jesus the Christ.
I am not selective about using men to lean on. I don't lean on man for salvation .I have mentors just as most do, but I only lean on the Promise.
One thing I could almost tell you for a certainty. If anyone begins to follow a man for their "religion", it won't be long before the skeletons start to come falling out of the old closet. There has been only one perfect One walking on this earth as a man. Now He is at the right hand of God ever interceding.
The Promise? John 3:16
