CDT- Cable Design Technologies Inc. makes specialty electronic data transmission cables and network structured wiring systems. The make products from high performance copper, fiber optic, and composite cable constructions, to connectors and component assemblies used in network communications, computer interconnect, wireless, commercial avition, automotive, automation sound & safety, and other applications. The fundamentals of this company is pretty solid PE 11, an increasing earnings per share per annum. One nice aspect about this company is that even though it is global, the majority of its operations are in North America. This aspect bolds well, considering the global economic climate. CDT has done well in acquring companies that complement its product line while allow CDT to enter new markets. Current stock valuations seem pretty good. Current Price 14 13/16.
RCOT- Recoton Corporation is a worldwide marketer and producer of aftermarket consumer electronic products which include home audio speakers, car stereo components, and various electronic accessories. RCOT shares have been under pressure mainly due to alleged declining fundamentals and an ongoing US customs investigations. However, the company is solid as is well oversold. The underlying earnings which put the PE at just 11.21 proves solid. Also, the acquisition of Jensen should help the future bottom line. Current Price 19 5/8.
TLXN- Texlon Corporation develops, manufacturers, and markets portable, batch, and wireless teletransaction computers and systems. TLXN also integrates this equipment with local area and wide area networks and links these networks to customers' specific enterprise networks. The recent failed takeover bid by Symbol Technologies have dragged the stock down. However, the earnings at Texlon remains strong and should experience double digit growth. Valuations at this point seem to make the current price a good entry point. Current Price 19.
LSI- LSI Logic Corporation is a leader in the design, development, manufacture, and marketing of value-added custom integrated circuits typically for the consumer electronics, communications, and computer markets. LSI should be a good long term gainer, in the near term it is certainly volatile but will allow some nice gains for the apt and seasoned investors. LSI's involvement with telecommunication should increase its bottom line in the future as demand grows in this sector. Current Price 13 3/16.
