I was in PAIN, dammit. By that time--as you can see from my watch, it was a quarter to six--the shoot had been going on for about four hours, the last of which I'd spent with the setting sun directly in my eyes. I discovered that being a photographic model is not a day at the beach. You have no IDEA how stiff I was at the end of the session.

Actually there were a great many shots of different kinds; Fortune wanted one that made me look stern and vigilanteish.
