Peter,

It might. But the difference between the two technologies is that TITT's faces EPA problems from the by-products of its pyrolosis process where it produces carbon black (although I don't know why the EPA is concerned about CB.)

The main problems for TITT, I posit, are that gov't have been locked into the process of chipping/chunking old tires and mixing them with asphalt to increase road durability.

But also, with low commodity prices running rampant through the world, I suspect the market for these by-products are finding less profit opportunities.

I would really like to see the gov't become more involved in helping support private market solutions to public pollution problems. Sometimes it takes some initial public monies to subsidize the initial engineering and operational process untill all the bugs are worked out. However, the investment return netted to the gov't in taxes and greater employment opportunities would exponentially return the investment.

I say this as a moderate conservative who doesn't fully believe the concept of efficient market theory. But neither do I accept permanent subsidization of industries unless the public good is advanced by the recycling of pollutive products.

Regards,

Ron
