Soros et Amati, that is.

I have only one small piece of TI lore. There's a fellow volunteer on the Motley Fool who claims her grandfather returned from WWII and began buying land around Dallas. His one investment philosophy was to buy local and he eventually invested in Pepsi, Frito-Lay and a few other Texas companies. The land, however, he traded for shares in a start-up company by the name of Texas Instruments.

And to think the wagon trains that carried her great-great-greats to Texas carried mine to Washington. Ah, the hands of fate. :))

(Somebody, quick, tie this back to Amati before I get flamed.)
