Mary -
CPQ not only does R&D spending in excess of $2B annually, but they are strong developers of IP used in many industry standards. It would probably surprise you to know that Intel pays CPQ for the use of CPQ IP in some key Intel products. CPQ is leading Intel in the development of bus standards and the underlying hardware. CPQ was a leading force in the development of the VI architecture. I know you are not a tech head, but just as an investor you should realize that CPQ is probably the only company other than Intel with the engineering horsepower and market clout to define standards which stick in the industry-standard computing space. And since CPQ is much more closely connected to the eventual end user of that technology than Intel, it is important as an Intel investor to understand where CPQ is going with their development direction.
