Tell you what, Danny boy, you respond to my questions and I will, subject to my duty to keep certain matters confidential, try to answer some of yours. Have you ever worked for a government regulator? Have you ever worked for the FSLIC, FDIC or FHLBB? Do you know how much effort goes into the yearly budgeting process? Do you know the FDIC, etc. have special procedures in place to deal with Congressional Inquiries? Do you know which S&Ls and Banks Speaker Wright interceded for? How about the Keating Five? Those are the ones which are of public knowledge. There are many more examples. Do you know how long the Franklin, MA FDIC office was kept open unnecessarily, at what cost and at whose insistence?
