Bill: Your estimation of numbers may or may not be true..who really knows?
I really only participate on SI, but I believe that Yahoo and AOL, and Motley Fool have chatboards with large followings also, don't they?
So who can really say how many "shorts" have done "the dirty deed"?

At any rate, to me anyway, all the nonsense should be stopped.

However, even if your estimation were true, I really don't feel that saying since that there are less people doing it so it should be overlooked.
(I know you didn't say exactly that, but I think you understand my point)

That is no consolation to people that see their money slowly disappear (downward movement of stock price) due to shorters disguised as "saintly" bashers.

As far as waiting to get them , I think that would be a mistake.
If they go after them too, and soon, then it sends the message across the whole spectrum, and then if they want to swing back and focus on the "long" side of the problem, I agree that would be the way to go.
