Hello again,
You're sort of right. I basically have our investments split into 4 different groups.
#1 Income
#2 AIM
#3 The RP4 version by the Motley Fool of Beating the DOW 5
#4 A small portion into something new which don't have any opinions on yet.
My wife and I sold our business in January of this year so we had to increase the income producing portion of our portfolio.
We are doing so well with the BTD 5 or RP4, whatever you want to call it that we couldn't give up on this excellent performing method. The only fault it has is that once a year you pick you stocks and put them way until a year later when you do it all over again. Because of the sale of our business and the resulting tax implications i couldn't sell my RP4 in March as per the plan. I am waiting until 1/2/99. So far in 6 quarters we're up 32% plus about 5% in dividends. With the market being the way it has this year I really can't complain.
AIM gives me the excitement of picking and choosing stocks and all the ramifications of trading.
Plan #4 is a market timing thing that works with spyders. Insufficient data to report on that yet.
