Analyst Michael Stanek at Lehman Brothers Inc., who can see the stock reaching 75 in a year. Stanek said Network Associates Chief Executive Bill Larson refuted negative rumors about acquisition-integration problems in a conference call yesterday, saying all accounting treatment for active research and development was in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and endorsed by third-party auditors. Stanek added that although the current ''bearish'' investor sentiment may be tough to overcome, the stock price should recover after strong earnings in the third quarter.
