I do know some guys who made money buying puts after the open and selling near the close... ..but I bought calls at 3:22 and sold 'em at 4:12 for a 5/8's gain. So the day wasn't a total waste. I think you're right, tho. The cash market is so out of sync with the futures that it should sell off for the first hour. But if it just takes off like it did today then it's not coming back. Ever.
