I've heard much about the difficulty wintel has had with getting into DTP, Video, and such. Having to use a Mac and PC everyday I can Say win NT is much nicer to use ... reason. The thing NEVER crashes, same with win 95. Today I lost a 20MB file on the mac at work ( about 20 hours work put into the file ) I had to run home to my PC and get the backup file from win 95 ( the OS that i've never lost a file with in years ). My friends with macs have to same prob.

So will the new OS fix this ... You mix code from 2 old OS's one for PowerPC and the other for 680X0 code, and now a new OS the Next OS and ask all that to work well in a year... It just can't happen. All fun aside apple is going to hurt, I saw this coming and wrote apple many times. The email I got back over the years has shown me that the only way to make money on apple is to short it. And money I made. Apple still is a losser, its SAD but true. ask your self can you use a newton... I can't. what about a performa... I'd rather have a PC for the kids ( games, school work, the other kids use PC's, and the cost ) can you use Pipin.. again NO.

What I'm saying is apple makes stuff I don't wan't... I was given a Newton this year... I played with it for about 2 weeks. It is now some place in the office. I just can't use it for anything and i've tried. The point is why pay for something I can't use?

I loved the mac at one time but I moved over to the PC because the OS is nothing. A PC that the whole family can use is why I bought a PC and not a mac.
