I'm not blindly supporting the company. However, I do look for insights, both positive and negative, regarding the company and its fundamentals. A closer analysis of why the numbers were off will probably show that there was a sizable amount of unbilled business at the end of the quarter. This can dramatically influence quarterly results with ALYD's current business model. I was impressed with the huge jump in contract growth from 13 contracts in Q3 to 9 contracts in October alone! This certainly suggests the possibility that Y2K may in fact be the kind of market that many of us anticipated.... only about 1 year later than was originally expected.

It is my humble opinion that the market as a whole is 1 year behind schedule.... project slippage is commonplace in software.... regardless of drop dead dates.... just ask anybody that works in the field. I also posted a list of previous assumptions and current realities yesterday which I believe are now beginning to be played out in the sector.

There is also some discussion on Yahoo about the possibility that CPWR is buying stock right now.... rumors circulated for several months about them having an interest in the company. It certainly is an interesting possibility..... BG mentioned the continued beneficial relationship with CPWR during the conference call. The individual that posted the information on the Yahoo thread seems to have a significant amount of information available to her. I am willing to seriously consider the possibility.

If the company had an interest in ALYD and they were rebuffed.... they could:

1) begin purchasing shares quietly in the open market.
2) file the necessary paperwork if/when they exceeded the 5% threshold
3) put a public offer to buy the remaining shares at a particular value on the table for the remaining shareholders to vote on if they chose to acquire the remaining stock....

I'm not suggesting that the rumor is true only that even ALYD's critics must admit that there is some accumulation going on here..... I merely am decribing one possible scenario on the thread for objective debate.

Best of luck with your other investments.
