It is true Dwight, there used to be a day when you owned a business, had a payroll to meet, and got a home mortgage, you tended to think things would be better with the Republicans.

I am not a Clinton apologist but, as you can tell, I am deeply offended by the Republican tactics.

I also hate to be the one to tell you but people lie all the time! Even under oath. In fact, if you ask any attorney, they will tell you they almost always lie to a greater or lesser degree in depositions. They see things as they want to remember them. They are fuzzy about things that don't make them look so good. They don't volunteer embarrassing information. They honestly don't recall some things because they consider them personal indiscretions at the worst. That is the way people are. If every body told the absolute truth about every event, there would be no civil litigation.

I am not defending Clinton. It happens that I don't think it was that big a deal. Had Monica Lewinsky been coerced, it would have been a different matter. I don't think the Republic was in any danger. On the other hand, what Newt is doing is very dangerous indeed.

Nobody seems willing to defend the Republican tactics.
