They are also saying that HDSL and SDSL is more expensive than ADSL which seems to be a rather contrarian view. On the wholesale move to HFC......it seems that the telcos can upgrade the infrastructure at a rate of anywhere from 4%-7% in a given year. (Currently, they upgrade existing lines at about 3% and add new lines at 4% (or mabye it was 4% and 3%)). At those rates it doesn't seem like DSL is going to be replaced anytime soon. Who is CIR?
