Magic Entertainment, Inc's. Speedway Junky Named To Hollywood Reporter's "A" List Of Films At Mifed
One Of Nine Films That Should Generate "Major Buzz and Business"
SAN MATEO, Calif.---(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Oct. 28, 1998-- Magic Entertainment, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of 1st Miracle Group, Inc. (OTC BB: MVEE), today announced that the Hollywood Reporter, one of the film industry's most prominent publications, has placed ''Speedway Junky'' on its ''A'' list of films at the upcoming Milan Film Festival (MIFED).
''Speedway Junky'' is the story of an 18 year old boy who dreams of becoming a race car driver and winning the Daytona 500. But how does a young boy of this age achieve such a dream with only $160 in his pocket; Las Vegas holds the answer. He hitchhikes to the gambling town only to be thrown out of every casino because of his age. After being robbed of his money by a young woman, he begins spending his nights on the street with other desperate kids. He meets a woman with whom he loses his virginity, who then adopts him and starts to turn his life around and helps him to achieve his dream. A love story develops between this 30-year-old woman (Darryl Hannah) and 18-year old boy (Jesse Bradford). The film also stars Jonathan Taylor-Thomas Patsy Kensit, Warren G. and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen.

The film, A Magic Entertainment Production, is being executive produced by Gus Van Sant, Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus co-executive producers. The Nickolas Perry film will be produced by Rodney Omanoff, Randell Emmett, Jeff Rice and George Furla.
