Dear SOROS: While returning from Vacation in September I stayed over night in a little town called Childress, Texas. As luck would have it a track maintenance emplyee of the Sante Fe railroad was staying in my motel and I met him. I asked him about this very matter, robotically controlled switches. He said he didnt believe it would be a problem in the Hinterlands but in the main yards (forgot what they are called) it is expected to be a BIG PROBLEM. I asked him if he thought it would be fixed in time. He said, you gotta be kidding, they cant even now get my paycheck and expense reimbursements out. Every thing related to computers at the Santa Fe RR is messed up (changed the words haha) JDN
