For those thinking about buying Yahoo, a couple of questions.

If you wanted to recreate what Yahoo has, how much would it cost? Could it be done for a couple of hundred million dollars? How much did Yahoo spend to be where they are? If you wanted to buy what Yahoo has, would you try to do so with a couple of hundred million dollar investment or would you buy all or a part of Yahoo for something north of $10 billion? Do any potential competitors have the capital to recreate what Yahoo has for something less than $10 billion? Do you think any will try if Yahoo proves that a portal company can be a hugely profitable operation? Can a portal company earn enough to justify a $10 billion market cap? When do you think it will happen? Or do you think p/e's in excess of 200 are sustainable indefinitely?

Just wondering, just wondering.
