All that has ever been seen of the K7 is simply the presentation "foils" at the Microprocessor Forum when AMD discussed some elements of the architecture. Intel has demoed, in public, a 800+mhz Katmai system. One can hardly question if the Katmai exists or if it is stable. Silicon may exist for the K7 but AMD has never let anyone see anything but the "foils". This would lead one to conclude that if silicon exists, it is too unstable to risk a demo, however they'd be proud to show you the "foils".
