Dear Mark, Halloween is the only holiday that clearly has nothing to with anything about God or anything positive. In Israel it is not acceptable to celebrate this holiday because of its negative history with God. The children there dress up on Purim and celebrate the positive victory over persecution. This is what my children do as well and they love to be Haman and make everyone boo at them. And every girl is Esther! I can not comment on others and their participation in this much less the effects of it on their relationship with God. All I can do is try to serve God the best that I can to show my love for Him.
