Republican: right wing haters

What to say when a fellow Democrat engages in personal insulting attacks on a Republican: "Those right wing haters are thin-skinned."

What to say when a Republican protests at being personally insulted: "Any mature adult would ignore insults" (this puts the Republican on the defensive, and subtly implies he/she is childish--craftily turning the tables, plus insulting them to boot! hehe).

How to explain why the Democratic President supports the indefensible act of partial birth abortion: "I don't know of a single Democrat that supports that." (Since you know that the DNC and President Clinton and all the leading Democratic women in Congress all do support PBAs, you'd be best advised to try to change the subject off PBAs."

What to say when a Republican suggests that there be more ethics in government: "You must be a member of the KKK". Accuse them of being a threat to America, and democracy in general.

No matter what, never admit there are fundamental character weaknesses that are perpetuated by DNC policies. We secretly acknowledge that, but a voter is a voter, and we don't want to alienate anyone, as long as they can still legally vote. We have this ground, and we want to keep it. Unfortunately we end up defending indefensibly corrupt people, but as long as they stay Democrat and can vote, that's okay.
