Did you know that about 50% of the people called for a poll simply hang up? How accurate can they really be?

Fact: My sister told me just last weekend that she was called by a political polling organization. After the first few questions, as it became apparent that my sister was conservative Republican, the pollster hung up on my sister. That is how blatantly dishonest these polls can be. After all, even a pollster has political views, no? The temptation to get the desired result is there--and who's going to know? Even if a call is monitored, the person calling for the polling organization can always say that the other person was the one who hung up.
