<I'm not sure what all the problems are.>

Don't know if they are necessarily problems, but time is one of my concerns - I don't have nearly enough of it.

<..Sure Robet and Lizard are traders and make money going long or short, but big deal...>

Nothing wrong with making $$ OR trading (I subscribe to both), and I wasn't naming names - just seemd recently, especially after LU press that the thread was drawing in a lot of noise.

I do a lot of trading myself, primarily IPO flipping, and sometimes on technicals looking for overbought/sold conditions. But my trading in these issues rarely has anything to do with the stock itself. And I rarely post on boards that I go home flat on. Really don't have the time, and don't see the point. If I think a stock is overbought on technicals, I might short it, but not knowing the story, I am quick to cover if the trade goes against me. Likewise for oversold buying.

If I think a stock is overbought on fundamentals, THAT might warrant a discussion, - with me asking questions as well as sounding my viewpoint (unless no one on the thread seems clued in, like with ETEL, ICOM, etc) But I don't see that happening here.

So to me, it's a waste of MY time to read or post if this is a desired direction of the thread. Talking up or down a stock online is a waste of time IMO (especially the "chest thumpers" as you have put it - short OR long). There are plenty of TA/trading threads where ST technical trading signals are more appreciatively and appropriately discussed - as it has nothing to do with company fundamentals. But ignorantly talking down (or up) a stock (and when I know a stock, I can tell when talk is "ignorant" pretty quickly) is a waste of MY time to filter through.

So I'd be happy to start another WCII thread for those that just want to keep up with fundamentals - or it may just be easier to just keep skimming the headers here for posters/posts that I might want to read, and to address by email details that might be of fundamental interest.
(And yes, Dave, Keith, John, Ray, Chris, Justin and others, you'd be on as you prefer)

Anyway, here are a few potentially relevant "fundie" links I came across this weekend:

ps - no Intermedia-like surprises expected for WCII. Numbers should be good. And I understand our dip to 10 recently involved some hedge unwinding - some of it LTCM. The converts could be a problem as many still play them shorting the common - from conferences I know of a number of funds that do - like Oakmark, Forum (in last weeks Barron's talking down WCII common while owning the converts, but Abelson got the name mispelled)

Also, LEH re-initiation is on permahold, but look for Piper Jaffrey to initiate on the sector probably this week, and WCII and others soon thereafter. Fwiw, it should be a "good" report.

Market seems to be going higher, and WCII is golden now. Those who know my posting history here and elsewhere, know I don't say things like "just buy and hold", but that is the strong feeling now (even after getting burned pretty good here recently).
