From the Motley Fool Board:

Subject: Fluff Alert-IOM Weekend Update 2!!!

>>NEXT BOX OFFICE SUMMER FLOP, 1999: “Sonyzilla” the moronic oxymoron, combining Sony (Betamax) and Godzilla (huge expectations, box office flop), makes its Summer debut in 1999 (if it is ever released at all). Expect to see major cross promotions (kudos to a number of posters who came up with these inventive uses) with Kellogg's (HiFD is Pop Tart compatible!), Eggo (we can waffle with the best of them), and Cuisinart (cracks, cleans and cooks your lobster in less time than you can say manufacturer's warranty has expired!).

HE ALSO BET ON CUSTER: Another treatment for an upcoming 1999 Summer Disaster of a Film: “Zip/Jazz=the dinosaurs.....HiFD=the asteroid.....the end.“ Hmmm… Let's think about this… Dinosaurs (Jurassic Park, Lost World) eat all humans. Asteroid gets blown up not once, but twice (Armageddon, Deep Impact). Yeah, if we could be sure that Sony is being run as well as this poster uses logic, we could make millions shorting Sony!

And finally, the award for the most ridiculous post of the day:

WHY NOT A LOBSTER DINNER?: The village idiot challenges a responsible poster to bet a steak dinner for two on which product has greater sales: the Clik! or the HiFD. This Blathering, Yet Terribly Entertaining Stupidity, 101 times, it must be mentioned, has no credibility--he has always refused to disclose his stock position, relationship with Iomega (allegedly he is a former disgruntled employee), and other hidden agendas. In fact, one of his posts smugly and blatantly plugged a competitor's product (it was removed from the board immediately), using comments like “we are please to announce the release of…” and “look for more info on product ordering on our web page…”

Well folks, we hope you enjoyed tonight's review. Nobody can predict the future, unless you are trying to create a self-fulfilling prophesy. It remains to be seen what will happen to Iomega's share price, but tomorrow's IBD article about Iomega is sure to motivate the dysfunctional duo to drown the board in diarrhea this week. Night everybody!<<
