The biggest lesson I've learned this year was the same lesson I learned last year - don't draft a QB in the first round, unless it's Brett Favre.

Last year I drafted Jeff Blake in the 8th position (out of 10), and after that disaster, and drafting 8th again this year, I had told myself NOT to draft a QB until the 5th round or so. In fact, my plan was to draft 2 RBs, 2 WRs, then either a TE or a QB.

However, I panicked when Kordell Stewart dropped to 8th and I picked him, and totally screwed up all of my plans.

Maybe I'll learn next year...

PS - I'm playing the top guy in our league this week and going in to tonight's game I have a 4 point lead and Emmitt Smith. He has Richie Cunningham. Could be close.
