Yep. Actually, it will be even sooner than that.

The "windowing" fix is based on the concept of a sliding pivot point. Today, "50" can be used as the pivot point. But, when 2050 rolls around, the confusion starts all over again.

I've seen clients who insist on using "20" as their pivot point because they have instances where they need to track dates back to the '20s. That gives those sites less than 20 years before they have to face additional problems.

Whatever ... the PROPER fix is to expand everything to 4 digits.

The reason I used 3000 as an example in my tongue-in-cheek prior post was that you mentioned there wouldn't be a Y3K problem.
