Bob,

The "Furby" from Tiger Electronics (owned by Hasbro) seems to be a good candidate for "the" Christmas toy. I was in Kay-Bee toys the other day and asked when they would have them in stock. The clerk said they had received a shipment last week and sold out in 20 minutes! Similar story at Toys r Us. The toy looks much like a Gremlin and has the ability to sense when other Furbys are in the same room. They will communicate with each other and even teach songs to one another. And they only cost $30. Unfortunately, Hasbro is extremely large and already has a PE of 50. Don't know if a large rise is possible from a hit product in this company.
