G'day all - dear Paul, while I know nothing at all about the peso, I doubt Soros and Tiger et al would be at the forefront, at least not in the near term future. They may be catching a ride, but they will not be a blatant as the two prone attack on HKD. My theory is based on precedents. Now that the world has seen HK success [ok, I admit maybe the fat lady has sung yet <g>,] any country would try to emulate. Of course, if the country is a basket case, then it is useless. Otherwise, it would be like applying medicine to a dead patient. OTOH, considering the precarious global conditions, no one will allow any extreme attack to a mildly sick patient. The extraordinary efforts invested in Brazil is a case in point.
