Hi Paul & Luc... Thanks to Paul for starting up this Forum... Spoke with the Prez, Edward Lai, just before Christmas...After getting on the MSE they will next be looking to get on the TSE... This company is on the move... Here's a copy of a posting I placed on both misc.invest and misc. invest.canada on December 22nd/96......... ====================== PLACER DOME/IBI CORPORATION... ------------------------------ BHP's study of available geological and geographical literature as provided to them by the Guyanese government leads BHP to believe there are excellent possibilities for commercial deposits of a variety of minerals including gold and base metals... BHP, along with Canadian Golden Star Resources, have concluded a deal for a geological and geographical survey on about 2.5 million acres of state lands in Guyana... Now, a similar situation also exists for PLACER DOME and another Canadian company, IBI Corporation (IBIC -Over the Counter, Toronto)...PLACER DOME will be reviewing similar type documentation as provided by the government of Guyana to BHP... An agreement between PLACER DOME and IBIC has PLACER DOME processing and assessing this information prior to carrying out exploration work on IBIC's Pereroombe gold properties in Guyana... If BHP believes that the possibilities for commercial deposits of gold and base metals are "excellent", it is only reasonable to expect that PLACER DOME will arrive at a similar conclusion....
