My season is going ok...Steve Young is killing me. The 1st place guys has about a 100 pt lead on everyone (has Steve Young). This week I think I closed the gap a little. My QB's were underpeforming & getting hurt (Moon, McNair)...so I picked up Chris Chandler, hopefully he stays healthy. My once deep RB core, doesn't seem so deep anymore, since I dumped Avery & Raymont Harris...both not playing enough, Barry is doing ok but he needs TD's, Ricky Watters is doing ok...nothing special, Fred Lane...lagging a bit, Robert Holcomb...disappointing. I think I might trade a RB for a WR. I think I'm going to start playing Charles Johnson a little more, he seems to be doing ok now.

In my league, RB's are the most valuble. I think this is because there is a big drop off in performance from the elite, to the good, and then to the ok backs. In my league the guy who has Terrel Davis is rolling, cuz of Terrel, but he doesn't have a 2nd good back or a dominant wide receiver. The next most valuable is the QB, in that even though there are a lot of good QB's there are very few elite, and they bring in a lot of pts, but I doubt they can carry your team like a RB. The teams near the bottom of my league are all lacking solid RB's.

A lesson I learned is don't go into draft day with a bias toward certain players...eg. I didn't like Marshal Faulk, he is doing very well. Same with Drew Bledsoe...hmmmn, maybe I should just let the stats speak for themselves. Oh another thing is to take the schedule of the players into consideration...eg. Steve Young, I thought he would have an ok year, & that he would get hurt...forgot that his schedule would be cush...and that he wouldn't have to face the elite def's too often, so he would stay healthy & dominate.

Best of Luck,

Where'd He Go?

PS: I'm thinking of trying to pick up Bam Morris (had more carries than Bennet last week), or Skip Hicks (did well vs. Giants).
