Looks like you've done some past reading on the mechanics of
the market:-) Correct? I was reading this day-traders
book and it was starting to get into that.

Anyway, the exception to the huge up gap day in late JUNE,
after the huge volume from a good earnings report which
surprised to heck out of everybody was because the
earnings forecasts were revised somewhat downward. Even
though COMS did well meeting and beating the street expectation,
later on in analysts meeting, they got a better feel for
projected earnings. This and a few other minor reasons, starting
pushing things downwards. At that point, everybody wanted
confirmation in the next earnings report, of which they got.

Morale of the story: always watch what the future visibility
of the company is, even if they have a good quarter. Watch
out if analysts make revisions without informing the public.
