>>It looks like the GOP election strategy is backfiring. Clinton's support is peaking right at the election (impeachment is almost a forgotten issue) and Democrats are pulling ahead in generic polling.

That's traditional media reporting. In 1994 the Media reported that the Dems were back with momemtum and that Clinton's approval had peaked. The last polls then had the Dems up 4 pts.

Actual vote was the Reps up by 7 points and a historic Republican rout of Dems.

>>The Dems I was sure were going to lose (Boxer, Baesler, Edwards) are moving out front. I wouldn't be surprised now by a break-even Senate result. Oh, and your boy T'amato is getting the boot. Getting scared?

Not at all. Fong is back ahead of Boxer, Bunning is ahead and will beat Beasler. Faircloth needs to do what Jesse always does - and he may, because Clinton is reviled in NC.

T'amato now leads! Zogby today predicted T'amato will win by 1 per cent. (Pataki will spend mucho $$$ on turnout). The upstate vote will swamp Schumer. Vacco has opened big double digit lead since the Dem Spitzer was caught lying about his funding.

btw, many now predict that Neumann has WI, Ensign has NV, and that Boozman and Inglis look like they can take AR and SC respectively . I also think Linda Smith may do what she always does - pull an upset in WA - the anti-quota ballot initiative leads big.
