Where are the reports from people who are using SONY or QUALCOMM phones with all the PCS rollouts? I noticed only one report (from Chris Reeder in Texas if I recall correctly). Surely, some of you who have spent thousands of dollars on stock are curious enough to spend $200 to see how it works, tell us about it! Meanwhile, Sprint rolled out CDMA in San Diego (Qualcomm's home) on 12/27. Two days AFTER Christmas! I bet that wasn't the original plan! But I finally couldn't stand it any longer, and went to DOW Electronics yesterday, 1/6/97, to buy a PCS CDMA phone and I was incredibly pleased to learn they were SOLD OUT! Actually, my particular DOW was sold out, and they let me pay for the phone, and will have it for me today at lunchtime. The guy running the store was not aware that the SPRINT box with the phone that says SONY on it (with QUALCOMM hidden under the raisable earpiece) was manufactured about 0.5 miles from his store! But he did know it was a Qualcomm phone at least. I'll send in a report on quality after I get the phone, but you can't trust me. I WORK for Qualcomm. Lets get some of you out there who are using Qualcomm (SONY is a Qualcomm phone) phones to tell us how it is! Your two cents worth will be invaluable!
