I agree with you Dave, and disagree with you Scott. CD has been highly successful without the ability to record, and arguably, audio music recording is much more important than recording video from a TV, cable, or satellite feed. How many times do you replay your favorite movie or football game? Not many, I bet. How often do you replay your favorite CD? Lots of times....
