Hi Brian: The 60Ghz band has been reserved primarily for wireless LAN applications, and the Motorola announcement is consistent with this use. While MOT'a announcement makes it sound like they are the pioneers of the 60Ghz band usage, other companies are also pursuing this market, particularly in Europe. Best regards, Bernard Levy
