Craig, FC news are going to be a dime a dozen. 3COM announced products for SAN. Everybody including me gets excited. The danger is that you can read positive as well as negative into news such as this. What is 3COM really trying to accomplish here besides they want a piece of the pie. I don't think anyone dispute the fact the Networking companies are getting into the SAN game. What's the implication of these kind of news is going to be a tough job. Too generalized analysis and information or too much specifics can be hazardous. A few here already questioned why Ancor is not part of the news. It is dangerous every time you interpreted it that way. That's the reason I try to explain the implication of this news. The missing of Ancor, Brocade and the McData in news such as this is by no means negative is the point I try to get across. Veritas should take note on this 3COM news. KJ
