It's a good overview of where AT&T stands today: zdnet.com The best quote is: AT&T paid a huge price for TCI's 10 million residential customers and access to another 7 million homes, and it's on the hook for billions more to upgrade TCI's network. "The math just doesn't work out," said a former AT&T executive. "It's a crappy network. The problem is, there aren't any alternatives."
