Democrats Tell Voters:
Taxes Aren't As High As They Think

As Americans prepare to go to the polls, Democrats are trying one last ditch strategy to stave off a possible Republican route. They are telling voters that 'taxes are not as high as they think.' Said one Democratic congressional candidate, "It only takes until the middle of May to pay your debt to the government each year. That is not unreasonable. It's just a little less than half the year. We have been considerate enough to give you the months of June through December to earn enough money to pay for your other obligations. Remember that when you go to the polls."

One Democrat Senator, Carol Money-Brawn, was overheard telling potential voters in her state, "Money belongs to the Federal Government. You should be thankful that we don't take all of it from you."

Still another Democrat, Michelle Harris, who is running for Governor in his state said in a speech yesterday, "If you work just 5 to 10 hours of overtime a week or have your spouse take second job, then paying your taxes is a breeze."

This new positive message is designed to help voters realize that " it just feels like they are giving all of their money to the government. Reality is that just a little less than half goes to Uncle Sam."
