Environmentalists Set Up 'Tree Abuse Hotline'

SALEM, OR - The environmental group known as the Lorax Association (LA) today announced the opening of their toll-free "Tree Abuse Hotline" . Said LA spokeswoman, Fauna Spiker, "It's time for Americans to wake up to the abuse that trees suffer at the hands of senseless uninformed eco-morons. Our 'Tree Abuse Hotline' has been set up so that you can anonymously inform the proper authorities of known or suspected tree abuse. We recommend that you use our toll-free number if you witness a neighbor cutting down a tree, if you notice a tree missing in your neighbor's yard, if you witness or suspect excessive pruning, or become aware of the existence of a wood pile."

The Tree Abuse Hotline is now open for calls at (888) 555-TREE.
