This really is bizarro world. I dont own much DGIV anymore, just enough to keep me interested (albeit mildly). Yet I do read the board daily, mostly with my eyes popping out of my head. I have begun to realize why people who dont own much or any of this stock continue to come here. They cant believe their eyes. I am constatnly amazed by the goings on here and I am beginning to wonder if it isnt all just a big joke.
Isnt The Silicon Investor a site to post about stocks? Arent stocks vehicles to make money? Dont these boards exist to let people discuss and learn about making money from investing? Why else would anyone spend time on these boards? If you want to socialize and talk about things unrelated to stocks and money there are a myriad of places to go, including boards here on SI that are unrelated to stocks. I gave up trying to convice people of this, but when I see a post like yours I just have to ask what you are talking about <<ah but jane, it isn't all about money now is it.>> Here, yes it is all about money. Arent you invested in DGIV to make money?
If we knew anything about DGIV, it's prospects, it's current financial status, anything, then I can see being more blase and less 'serious' about things here. BUT, we know (or at least I know) nothing about DGIV anymore and until we do I would feel silly just smiling and hoping that things will pan out. Can anyone give me one reason that your money is better invested here than somewhere else? I just cant believe that anyone who has any kind of money invested here could be as apathetic as you seem to be.
Maybe it is like poker. I have often enjoyed playing a game of poker with friends but I have learned that some people like to play poker just for the fun of it. Nickel and dime ante etc. It is more of a socializing event. Great. For me that is boring and I like to play poker where the stakes mean something, where money is on the table. This doesnt preclude socializing and bsing etc but it certainly isnt about that. I am aware that people are different in this regard. So when I play poker I like to play with people of a like mind. To me, poker is a game about money. There are alot of card games that I enjoy that are not about money and those are the ones I play when I am socializing.
