Asia and Europe were very strong. All day long there has been talk of "all is well". The difficult challenges that were facing the world at the end of September have simply disappeared. The G7 have solved all problems. Rate cuts have removed all recession worries for the US. Terrific GDP numbers have eliminated all the concerns. The world no longer needs gold. Inflation for the US has basically disappeared. Oil prices to stay low, but don't tell that to the oil services companies. Productivity increases have shifted the world into a new paradigm. Japan has bottomed, even though they continue to hold mountains of bad loans. Clinton, Arafat, Saddam, and Netenyahu have all become blood brothers and best of friends. Moslems, Jews, Hindus, Christians have all agreed on a common god.
