You talk as if there aren't any "new" customers out there. Keep in mind that SparQ sales had a significant impact on Jaz sales. As the SyQuest (bad) news begins to spread and SparQ inventories fade away, Jaz should do extremely well. It may not be immediate if we see some inventory being dumped at fire-sale pricing, but it's bound to happen soon enough.

As far as abandoned SyQuest users go, well I feel fairly certain that someone will end up with the rights to manufacture disks. It might even be Iomega/Nomai. Existing users aren't throwing their drives in the trash tonight and searching for alternatives. I doubt that there's any greater possibility now, rather than before, that more of SyQuest's current users will be looking at CD-R/RW and DVD-RAM.
